Digital scan of a sepia-toned photo of construction along Randolph Street for the Detroit-Windsor Tunnel, taken facing north along the sidewalk on the east side of Randolph, from Atwater Street. The sidewalk immediately ahead have been torn out, and sandbags are piled several feet high along the edge of the street on the left. Construction debris is scattered about the ground. A car and a small steam shovel are parked just north of the sandbags. Several men stand in front of the storefront past the sandbags. "Section 5- Detroit & Canada Tunnel; Relocation of Sewer etc. Looking North along Randolph Street. Aug 22, 1928. 8A-2," was handwritten on the verso.
