Digital scan of a sepia-toned photo of the southeast corner of the construction site for the Detroit terminal of the Detroit-Windsor Tunnel, as taken from the intersection of Franklin Street and Randolph Street, facing southwest. Two men stand on elevated wooden bridge outfitted with rails that runs across the site. Bracing spans the cut excavated along Randolph Street on the left. Workers are beyond the rails. The buildings along Atwater Street to the west of Randolph are in the background. "Detroit and Canada Tunnel Contract - Section 5, Section 5-C & Ventilation Building - from Franklin Street, 3 P.M.; Jul 29, 1929, 8B-109," was handwritten on the verso.
