Image, Digital

Digital scan of a sepia-toned photo of some of the wiring put in place to supply lighting underground for the construction of the Detroit-Windsor Tunnel, as taken from overhead. Several lines run into a box on a wooden platform. One line runs from that box to one installed on the side of the platform above a shaft. The legs and feet of a worker who is laying on the platform are visible on the bottom of the frame. "Detroit & Canada Tunnel - Section 5, Typical Conduit Run for Light Box (View @ Bents 108-109) April 19, 1929, 8B-57," was handwritten on the verso.
