The first several houses on the block on the left are severely fire-damaged. A rock of cars, including a Checker taxi cab, are stopped at the stop sign on the right. Signs on a pole at the left edge of the frame indicate that a "Bridge Over Freeway" is further down the residential street, and that the intersecting street in the foreground runs one way, to the left.
