The boat in the foreground is MISS THRIFTWAY, which went dead at the start after getting caught in the roostertails of the other boats. Jimmy Fyle was the driver of MISS ST. REGIS and Bill Muncey drove MISS THRIFTWAY. The Belle Isle shoreline can be seen in the background.
