Negative, Film

Negative and print of a color photo of the east side of Broadway Street between Witherell Street and John R Street. An incomplete segment of the People Mover track stands in the foreground with pylons built to support the missing segments. Beyond are the shuttered storefronts of Petrom's Cocktail Lounge, Dray's Oasis Boutique, and Salada Tailors and Cleaners, along with the closed-down Grand Circus Theater. Its marquee still advertises its final concert on December 5, 1984, "new wave of British heavy metal" band Motörhead, Danish metal band Merciful Fate, and Canadian speed metal band Exciter. An ice cream truck is parked in front of the theater. Further southeast on Broadway are a parking lot and structure.
