Negative, Film
Fifty-third of fifty-five black and white negative exposures of a Wayne State University Foreign Students Trip, which may be associated with the Rotary International organization and/or the People-to-People Program.
The photograph captures a woman, presumably a Wayne State foreign student, and a butcher inside a processing plant. The butcher is surrounded by meat that has been hung to age. He is photographed trimming another piece of meat on the table in front of him, whilst the student is watching. The student has a badge stuck on her coat that reads "Welcome" with partial visible text that reads "City, Iowa" which based on previous photographs might say "Sioux City, Iowa". She is wearing a coat and a white scarf. On the floor there are trimmings of meat.
The negative was originally housed in a paper envelope marked;
