Black and white negative taken during the 1949 Silver Cup Race held on September 5th on the Detroit River. The boat in the foreground is MY SWEETIE, which was driven by Bill Cantrell and was the eventual winner. Two other boats can be seen in the background coming up the Belle Isle backstretch with the Detroit Yacht Club in the background at left.
