Color negative taken during the 1966 Gold Cup Race held on the Detroit River of SMIRNOFF, driven by Chuck Thompson, headed down the straightaway. The boat was destoyed in heat 3A of the race, fatally injuring her driver. An official's boat can be seen behind him in the infield.
