Black and white negative film taken at the 1966 Gold Cup Race, held July 3rd and 4th on the Detroit River, of SAVAIR'S MIST (background), MISS LAPEER (center), and THE LOANER (foreground). The picture is probably the start of the consolation race held for the boats that did not qualify for the Gold Cup race. It was won by MISS LAPEER. THE LOANER finished second, and SAVAIR'S MIST finished third.
