Black and white negative film taken during time trials on June 24th for the 1968 Gold Cup Race, to be held on June 30th on the Detroit River. Pictured is driver Walter Kade, kneeling on the deck to secure a line for his boat, SAVAIR'S MIST. Another man can be seen holding out his foot to prevent the boat from hitting the dock. High winds forced postponement of the race until September 8th.
