Black and white negative film taken during time trials on June 24th for the 1968 Gold Cup Race, to be held on June 30th on the Detroit River. Pictured are four people standing near the pit tower. Second from left is Erv Steiner, Jr., and to his left is Detroit Free Press writer Joe Dowdall. High winds forced postponement of the race until September 8th.
