Black and white negative film taken during time trials on June 24th for the 1968 Gold Cup Race, to be held on June 30th on the Detroit River. The picture shows NOTRE DAME, driven by Jack Regas. High winds forced postponement of the race until September 8th. But Jack Regas was injured at the race in Seattle and did not drive the boat in September. The Detroit Yacht Club can be seen in the background.
