Black and white negative of GALE II (left) and MISS PEPSI (right) passing in front of the Detroit Yacht Club during races on the Detroit River. Many spectators can be seen on the yacht club docks. Driven by Chuck Thompson, MISS PEPSI won both the Detroit Memorial Race and the Silver Cup Race in 1951. GALE II finished second and fourth in the two regattas, respectively.
