Black and white negative of MISS THRIFTWAY at the start of the final heat at the 1956 Gold Cup Race. The boat, with Bill Muncey driving, won the heat and the race. The roostertails of two other boats can be seen behind MISS THRIFTWAY and SHANTY-I at the extreme left of the picture.
