Negative, Film
A sepia-toned film negative depicting Michigan Avenue as viewed from Campus Martius. An electric streetcar, bearing a sign that reads, "Cyril Maude," approaches, as two early automobiles cross its path. More streetcars, automobiles, and pedestrians are in the background. The Majestic Building, housing the Central Savings Bank, is on the immediate right. A street vendor is set up in front of the Majestic Building. In addition to West Lafayette Boulevard, signs for Dr. Adams, Dentist, and the People's Outfitting Company are visible further along Michigan. The edge of City Hall is along the left edge of the frame. The print is cropped, lacking the right edge, and top of the image. Both the negative and print appear to be copies, as a rip, border, and cloth backing are captured in the negative. A handwritten note originally included with the negative read, "Nov. 8, 1924, Michigan at Woodward."
