Negative. Black and white negative of a print which shows Joe Louis (left) and Leon Wheeler (right). Several bystanders can be seen in the background. Handwritten text at the top of the image shows "Brewster Champ and Supervisor." Joe Louis had originally acquired his interest in boxing at a youth recreation center on Brewster Street in Detroit. Leon Wheeler was the supervisor at the recreation center which was later renamed the Brewster Wheeler Recreation Center.
