Negative, glass-plate. Monochromatic glass-plate negative from the studio of Louis James Pesha depicting the starboard side of the Western Transportation Company passenger steamer CITY OF THE STRAITS. Passengers are on deck. The stern of a freighter is visible in the background on the right edge of frame. A row of large vessels are docked perpendicular to the shore in the distance along with factory smoke stacks.
