Negative, glass-plate. Monochromatic glass-plate negative from the studio of Louis James Pesha depicting the starboard side of the FLEETWOOD, under steam. A crew members is on the flying bridge, and another stands near the aft cabin. A line extends from the freighter's stern into the water, where it is possibly attached to a chip log or taffrail log. A tree-lined shoreline is visible in the background. "No deck house" was typewritten and "#81145-org. WM H. GRATWICK, blt. 1887 W. Bay City." was handwritten on the non-archival envelope which previously held the plate.
