Negative, Glass-plate

Negative, glass-plate. Monochromatic glass-plate negative from the studio of Louis James Pesha depicting the starboard side of the Lakewood Steamship Company freighter W.H. GILBERT, under steam. Several crew members stands near the stern. A tree-lined shoreline, dotted with houses, is visible in the background. A blurry wooden ledge or railing, perhaps part of a dock, is in the foreground at the lower left. "With deck house" was typed on the non-archival envelope which previously held the plate.
