Negative, Glass-plate
Monochromatic glass-plate negative from the studio of Louis James Pesha depicting the bow and port side of the Castile Steamship Company freighter HARVEY D. GOULDER, under steam. A figure stands on the flying bridge, and two more are on deck near the aft cabin. A line, perhaps attached to a taffrail log, extends from the stern of the ship. A tree-lined shoreline is visible in the background. "Columbia Steamship Co. 1916, W. C. Richardson Mgr," was handwritten on the non-archival envelope which previously held the plate.
