Monochromatic glass-plate negative from the studio of Louis James Pesha depicting the port side of the Cameron Steamship Company dredge E. GUNNELL, under steam. A man stands in front of the pilot house, while another sits above a large hose near the stern. A tree-lined shoreline is visible in the background. "#210114, Renamed PETER KOENIG, Sold Canadian 1940 and became barge AMHERST. Owned by McQueen Amherstburg, Ont. Towed by tug HENRY STOKES. Rebuilt 1952, Montreal as oil tanker named TRANSBAY," handwritten on non-archival envelope which previously held plate.
