Monochromatic glass-plate negative from the studio of Louis James Pesha depicting the port side of the freighter WILLIAM A. HAWGOOD, under steam. Several figures are on the flying bridge, two more walk along the deck, and a small group is gathered near the aft cabin. A tree-lined shoreline is visible in the background. "#2-175-9," was handwritten on the non-archival envelope which previously housed the plate.
