Negative, Glass-plate

Monochromatic glass-plate negative from the studio of Louis James Pesha depicting the starboard side of the Western Cedar and Lumber Company freighter HELEN C., under steam with a deck-load of lumber. Five figures are on and around the flying bridge. Another person in what appears to be a apron stands outside the aft cabin. A house on the shoreline is visible in the background. "Originally Can. Cars Prop QUEBEC later U.S. - F.E. SPINNER and finally HELEN C." handwritten on non-archival envelope which previously held plate.
