Negative, Glass-plate
Monochromatic glass-plate negative from the studio of Louis James Pesha depicting the starboard side of the freighter HENDRICK S. HOLDEN, under steam. Two figures stand on the flying bridge, two more wave off the starboard side of the main deck near the aft cabin, and two others stand near the stern. A church on a tree-lined shoreline is visible in the background. "Low pilot house," and "945," were printed on the non-archival envelope which previously held the plate.
