Negative, Glass-plate
Monochromatic glass-plate negative from the studio of Louis James Pesha depicting the bow and port side of the Pittsburgh Steamship Company whaleback barge ALEXANDER HOLLEY, in tow. A line extends from the bow off frame. A man stands atop the cylindrical cabin at the bow, and several others are in and around the aft cabin. A tree-lined shoreline is visible in the background. "C," and "2029," were handwritten on the non-archival envelope which previously held the plate.
