Negative, Glass-plate

Monochromatic glass-plate negative from the studio of Louis James Pesha depicting the bow and starboard side of the freighter IROQUOIS, under steam, with a deck-load of coal. Two figures stand on the flying bridge, another leans over on the main deck, and two more lean on the railing toward the stern, standing outside of the deck cabin at midship, and a third is outside of the aft cabin. Another small freighter and a tree-lined shoreline are visible in the background. "2848," were printed on the non-archival envelopes which previously held the plate.
