Monochromatic glass-plate negative from the studio of Louis James Pesha depicting the bow and port side of the freighter H.N. JEX, under steam with a deck-load of coal. A line extends off frame from the stern of the JEX. Four figures in a motorboat are off the starboard bow of the JEX. A tree-lined shoreline is visible in the background. "C 1054FIT 4," was handwritten on the non-archival envelope which previously held the plate.
