Negative, glass-plate. Monochromatic glass-plate negative from the studio of Louis James Pesha, depicting Ann Arbor No. 5 carferry making its way up the St. Clair River on January 6th, 1911. This trip was the maiden voyage from the shipyard to Frankfort, Mi. A nearby tree-lined shore with a church at the right edge is visible in the background.
