Negative, Glass-plate
Monochromatic glass-plate negative from the studio of Louis James Pesha taken of a photographic print of the starboard side of the Pittsburgh Steamship Company freighter WILLIAM R. LINN, under steam. Figures are visible at the bow, on the flying bridge, outside the pilot house, on the main deck, and outside the aft cabin. A tree-lined shoreline is visible in the background. "No deck house," was typewritten, and "rebuilt as an oil tanker, March 1940 Ecorse Mich." was handwritten on the non-archival envelope which previously held the plate.
