One black and white 35 mm negative image (and one photographic print) of a residential area in the Black Bottom neighborhood that was located east of downtown Detroit. The view shows two large, elegant yet worn, 3-story brick mansions. Three African American people are standing or seated on the porch steps in the center foreground and a small truck is parked on the street in the lower right foreground. Possibly, these houses were located on East Jefferson Avenue.
