Negative, Roll Film

One black and white 35 mm negative image (and one photographic print) of a residential area in the Black Bottom neighborhood that was located east of downtown Detroit. The view shows a backyard with a broken wooden fence, clotheslines with drying clothes, and piles of debris. Two old 2-story wood frame houses can be seen in the background. The top of a bell tower with the adjoining convent and school building of St. Joachim's Catholic Church can be seen in the far background in the upper center and right areas of the image (St. Joachim's Church, convent, and school were located at the northwest corner of East Fort and Dubois Streets).
