The view presumably looks southwestward from Russell Street near East Congress Street and shows street pavement, a vacant lot, and an alley in the foreground. Several 2-story and 3-story wood frame apartment buildings and houses are visible in the background. The top of the American Natural Resources Building can be seen in the far background at the right edge of the image.
