Negative, Roll Film

One black and white 35 mm negative image (and one photographic print) of a residential area in the Black Bottom neighborhood that was located east of downtown Detroit. The view looks westward along an alley that appears to be located in the vicinity of Orleans Street just south of East Fort Street. Piles of debris, utility poles, wood frame sheds, and garages can be seen in the foreground. The 40-story Guardian Building and 47-story Penobscot Building are visible in the far background in the lower left corner area of the image. The new 29-story apartment building, 1300 Lafayette East, is visible in the far background near the center of the image.
