One black and white 35 mm negative image (and one photographic print) of a residential area in the Black Bottom neighborhood that was located east of downtown Detroit. The view shows blurred images of moving cars in the foreground. Three people are walking along a sidewalk in the background and are carrying paper grocery bags. All three are wearing winter coats and hats. Also visible in the background are a traffic signpost and signal, brick walls and windows on the side of a building, and a short section of chain link fence.
