One black and white 35 mm negative that shows an image of West Jefferson Avenue just west of Woodward Avenue in downtown Detroit. The view looks northeastward from the south side of West Jefferson Avenue and shows a workman who is assembling or disassembling a section of a crane boom for a crane that is parked nearby on the street. Many cars can be seen on the street in the background. Downtown office/commercial buildings can be seen in the far background at the left side of the image. The Spirit of Detroit sculpture by Marshall Fredericks can be seen in the far background at the center of the image along with the multi-story City-County Building (now the Coleman S. Young Municipal Center) at the right.
