Negative, Sheet Film

One black and white negative showing an image of the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter MORRILL (formerly a U.S. Revenue Cutter). The elevated view looks forward along the length of the two-masted vessel which is moored at a dock beside the Henkel Flour Mill near the foot of Beaubien Street in downtown Detroit. Black printed text on two life rings that are mounted on a railing on the upper aft deck reads "USS Morrill, Coast Guard." The downstream end of Belle Isle can be seen in the far background at the right side of the image. Handwritten pen text on the edge of the negative reads "Det., '28."
