Black and white negative image (and one photographic print) showing John W. Stroh kneeling and grabbing mortar with a trowel during the conerstone laying ceremony at the Stroh Stockhouse No. 6., on November 8, 1955. Next to him is a granite cornerstone reading, "The Stroh Brewery Co. / Established / 1850 / This Building Erected / 1955." The stone also features the Stroh emblem, the lion in the shield.
A black ink stamp on the verso reads, "Ransier-Anderson / Photography / C-2131-8 / 3408 Woodward Ave. / Detroit 1 TE. 3-7550."
