A female mannequins stands in a woman's United States Navy Recruit uniform holding a brochure for the Waves. Images of a woman in Naval uniform are featured throughout the display, with signage that reads, "Share the Deeds of Victory, Join the Waves, Navy Recruiting Station or Office of Naval Officer Procurement." Also featured in the display are rolls of linoleum, signage adjacent to the mannequin reads, "Table Top (Made by Hudson's Craftsmen) Portraying the Marblehead, The 7,500-ton, light cruiser that completed a 13,000 mile cruise to home port after being crippled in the Battle of Macassar Strait, The Marblehead Table Top Is To be Used at Navy Recruiting Center, 3rd Floor Federal Building." Signage visible at the feet of the mannequin also reads, "Linoleum to Suit Your Needs, Standard Gage, Suited for the Floor of Most Every Room; Wall Covering For Bathroom or Kitchen, Easy to Keep Clean, Eighth Floor, Farmer." Visible signage in the central foreground reads, "Buy U.S. Savings Bonds, Immediate Delivery War Bonds, 11th Floor, Woodward Section D." The date and photographic sequence number are printed on the bottom of the recto, "9-18-43; 18875-x."
