Black and white photo taken at what appears to be a banquet for Detroit River Regatta Association Gold Cup race owners and officials. The Gold Cup Trophy in the right foreground. People in the photo are identified on the verso as (left to right) Mssrs. Newton, Hiller, Hughes, Ty Tyson holding the microphone, Gunn, Elliot, Stair, and Al Fallon. Howard Hughes was owner of two boats named DUKIE, Ty Tyson was a local Detroit radio broadcaster, and Al Fallon was owner of MISS GREAT LAKES, the 1948 Gold Cup winner. Photo is stamped on verso, "from the collection of J. Gerald Gunn."
