Print. Black and white photographic print of a window display at J.L. Hudson Company Department Store. Dressed in United States Marine Corps military uniform, Helmut, ruck sack, and gifts in hand, a male mannequin awaits on a dock. A large mural in the background depicts military personnel disembarking a large ship, and walking toward the mannequin. Signage affixed to the left side of the display reads, "Our Boys. They'll be coming back soon - with a pack of souvenirs swung over the shoulder - maybe with a Jap flag tucked under their belt. But - we must do our part - we must buy more war bonds to hasten the day of unconditional surrender. Let's do it now!" Also, affixed to the bottom foreground of the display a sign which reads, "Buy U.S. War Savings Bonds, Immediate Delivery, WAR BONDS, 11th Floor, Woodward, Section D." The date and photographic sequence number are printed on the bottom of the recto, "1-6-43; 18844."
