Two male mannequins, dressed in military service uniforms are featured in the barracks at a military post, as noted in the mural behind the men. One mannequin sits on a cot reading a letter, while the other is perched on a stool. Pin-ups, a dressing robe, and jacket adorn the walls. Signage in front of the mural reads, "Once in a while, we soldiers sit around and talk about things back home. And we just can't help wondering why anybody's got to be asked to buy WAR BONDS when the very lives of our Budding and the lives of your loved ones depend on the things those WAR BONDS will buy. Think it over folks!" Affixed signage in the lower central foreground reads, "Buy U.S. War Savings Bonds, Immediate Delivery, WAR BONDS, 11th Floor, Woodward, Section D."
