A female mannequins stands, dressed in the uniform of the Women's Army Auxiliary Corps (WAAC), holding a WAAC packet; a second female mannequin is seated at a desk, also in a WAAC uniform. Propaganda for the WAAC is featured adjacent to and behind both mannequins features the head and shoulders of a woman in the WAAC, and reads, "WAAC, This is my war too! Women's Army Auxiliary Corps, United - States - Army." Signage in the central foreground reads, "Women of America... Be active in your country's victory! When you enroll in the WAAC you are making a real contribution to the fight for freedom. Your work will release a soldier for the battle lines, Apply Room 631, Federal Bldg." Also, signage affixed to the rear of the display reads, "In general, an applicant must be in good health. She must have good sight and good hearing. Her heart must be competent to stand for the stress of physical exertion. She must be intelligent enough for understand and execute orders. Go to any United States Army Recruiting and Induction States for additional information and application black for enrollment. WAAC officers are on duty at many Recruiting and Induction Stations. They will tell you how you can help to win the war... by joining the Women's Army Auxiliary Corps." Affixed to the bottom foreground of the window is signage which reads, "Buy U.S. War Savings Bonds, Immediate Delivery, WAR BONDS, 11th Floor, Woodward, Section D."
