A female mannequin sits and admires another female mannequin fixing a vacuum in the kitchen while a baby looks on. Geraniums line the window sills. Signage adjacent to the refrigerator reads, "A Salute to the Women of America, Wives and Mothers on the Home Front, you strive to salvage and conserve. -to mend and to make do. -saving fats for gun powder, -medal for guns..." Affixed to the bottom foreground of the window display is a sign which reads, "Buy U.S. War Savings Bonds, Immediate Delivery, WAR BONDS, 11th Floor, Woodward, Section D." The date and photographic sequence number are printed on the bottom of the recto, "5-6-43; 18828-3x."
