Print. Black and white photographic print of a window display at the J.L. Hudson Company Department Store. A large map of the United States featuring a large crowd of many different peoples is hung at the center of the display, signage affixed to the map reads, "Keep America Strong." An American flag is adjacent to the map on the left side of the display, signage at the base reads, "Buy Victory Bonds, 11th Floor, Woodward." Also, a large palm tree, sand, seashells, and a ship model of the Spanish Main are featured in the right side of the display adjacent to the map. Signage below the map, between a model airplane and the Spanish Main reads, "Schedule Flight Southward to the Spanish Main... Where once marauding buccaneers sailed the Caribbean attacking Spanish ships which traveled to Europe laden with treasures from America. Here Sir Henry Morgan and Captain Kidd inscribed their names on history's ledgers. Here, too, is the island of Guanahani which Columbus discovered in 1492 and named San Salvador in memory of his preservation. Fly on down to the opposite end of the archipelago where Trinidad, the gem of the British West Indies, lies shimmering in tropical beauty. Strange and fascinating sights await you southward and now's the time for groundwork on that long-awaited, long-term holiday. You're on the beam if you buy Bonds and let them mature. Flight ready..." The date and photographic sequence number are printed on the bottom of the recto, "11-2-45; 22235-8x."
