Print. Black and white photographic print of a window display at the J.L. Hudson Company Department Store. 16 differing dolls are displayed, each dressed in a differing type of service uniform from "Yesterday...1917-1918" (World War I) and "Today...1943-" (World War II) exhibiting how women's roles and uniforms have changed. Signage between the two sets of dolls reads, "U.S. Fighters of Two World Wars. * Authentic reproductions of uniforms worn by women in volunteer and other services. These uniforms are accurate in every detail. * Reproduced by Helen Virginia Meyer, Noted Costume Historian, Exclusive Exhibit for the War Bond Show." The series of dolls are also flanked by covers of the Saturday Evening Post and American Flags. Affixed signage in the bottom foreground reads, "Four Freedoms War Bond Show, Auditorium, 12th Floor." The photographic sequence number and photographer's name is printed on the bottom of the recto, "4x; Davis B. Hillmer."
