Black and white photograph of a 1946 fiberglass Stout Scarab on display at the Owens-Corning Fiberglas Center in New York City. The photograph shows the interior of the car, taken from the Scarab's front right and angled toward the rear left. A man is in the driver's seat, a child is in the passenger seat, and two children are in the back seat. The passenger seat is turned toward the rear of the vehicle and the three children are playing the board game Monopoly. A label on the verso reads "From: Public Relations Department Owens-Corning Fiberglas Corporation Fiberglas Tower Toledo, Ohio 43601 259-3930." A hand written caption on the verso reads "Scarab on Exhibit Owens-Corning Fiberglass Center, NY - 1971."
A paper label housed with the photograph reads "While dad drives, the kids can play a quick game of Monopoly in the roomy comfort of the Stout, a full-bodied Fiberglas-reinforced plastic car. The classic auto, built 25 years ago, is considered to be the first car molded of Fiberglas/plastic. It is on display at the Owens-Corning Fiberglas Center in New York City through April 22."
