One black and white photograph of a row of retail shops that was destroyed by fire during the 1967 Detroit Riot. The photo looks eastward to Colfax Avenue along the north side of West Warren Avenue and shows the ruined shops with debris scattered on the sidewalk. Two guardsmen and many pedestrians can be seen on the sidewalk in the background. One military or government official with a camera and a "PIO" armband is standing at the right side of the photo.
