Images of women from all over Michigan participating in the Marine Corps Women's Reserve are featured in the display. A female mannequin, dressed in a Marine Corps Women's Reserve uniform with the rank of Steward 2nd Class visible on the sleeve. Signage at the feet of the mannequin reads, "Women of America, Release a Marine to FIGHT! Requirements: Ages 20 - 36 years, Two years high school or business school. Apply United States Marine Corps, 503 Griswold Building." Affixed signage in the central lower foreground reads, "United States Marine Corps Women's Reserve, Second Anniversary, February 13." The date, photographic sequence number and photographer's name are printed on the bottom of the recto, "2-14-45; 22040-x; Davis B. Hillmer."
