Noted in front of the model ship, "Assembly Demonstrations by the Kaiser Liberty Ship Model Daily, 2PM - 4PM; also, "United States Maritime Commission Liberty Ship, Built and Engineered Under the Direction of Admiral E.S. Land and Admiral H.L. Vickery , Oregon Shipbuilding Corporation, Portland, Oregon, Kaiser Company, Inc., Vancouver, Washington. Signage in the left foreground features an image of a Merchant Marine delivering goods from a factory to soldiers; the sign reads, "Deliver Goods to our Fighting Fronts Across the 7 Seas, Men 18 to 35, Join the U.S. Merchant Marine Service. A Vital Job! Become a Merchant Marine Officer! U.S. Maritime Service, 209 Hammond, Detroit, Michigan." A display case of sweaters is visible in the bottom right foreground.
